Autism

Look what I found!!

 Sharing a hobby

Not everyone is lucky enough to share their interest with their spouse. You might like “The Notebook” and he likes “Transformers”. You are a long drive kind while he is the lazying on the porch type. You could be chalk and cheese and though it was cute when you were dating, it’s no more when you are trying to squeeze out some quality time together. So I decided to find something both of us can enjoy and decided that and if there is no common ground, we’ll try stepping into each other’s  realm and see which one we can try out. I love gardening and my hubby would not notice a thing even if I he was standing in the middle of a botanical garden. But that was last year. He tried to help me out with some digging, weeding and watering and now he is hooked. We have such a good time tending to our garden. It gives us time to work as a team, enjoy what we do and that transcends into other aspects of our lives too. We now tend to agree more and understand each other better.

I'm mom to a beautiful son who is on the Autism Spectrum. I love to share stories and experiences about our journey and learn from other families along the way. Autism has changed our family and our perspective and my mission is to be part of that change that will make the world a more inclusive place for special kids like my son.
