Look what I found!!

Complaining less

There are probably 100s of reason for me to complaint about how my life turned out to be and I’m probably never going to be the kind who just smiles counts their blessings. These things look nice written in some calligraphic font on an HD image of a sunset on a beach. In real life sometimes complaining can be really cathartic. So I like to grumble every now and then…but that’s what I try to keep it at, now and then. A pearl of wisdom that my dad passed on to me was that the more you complain, the less audience you’ll have and making you feel not just miserable but also lonely. Complaining, in general, only made me feel worse and also spoiled the mood of everyone around me. Now I try to keep it to minimum as I really don’t gain anything out of it. To be happy I HAD to look at some of the brighter sides of life. There was a point when I said I would make lemonade out of the lemons that life gave me but it forgot to give me sugar too. But now I know that I was looking in the wrong jar for sugar. One just has to look in the right places for some sweetness. A grumpy old person is never a good company.

I'm mom to a beautiful son who is on the Autism Spectrum. I love to share stories and experiences about our journey and learn from other families along the way. Autism has changed our family and our perspective and my mission is to be part of that change that will make the world a more inclusive place for special kids like my son.
